Kill eco-vicious Bitcoin. Join Pi.

Please help kill Bitcoin by joining Pi Network. According to DisruptResearch, Bitcoin mining consumes around 100 TWh of energy per year (because it uses heavy computations to “mine” new coins.) That’s 30 times the electricity consumed by every Tesla in the world now. It’s more than some countries are using! Uselessly. Literally a tragedy.

Pi Network hopes to displace the old eco-vicious cryptocurrency model with a far greener one (no computations, just a tiny bit of human attention.) There’s no guarantee that Pi will kill off Bitcoin, or at least Bitcoin mining (by making it less attractive.) But it may, I think it can, and we have really do need to do something to put Bitcoin into the dustbin of history soon, it’s becoming a climate killer just by itself.

Pi Network looks like a good candidate to displace Bitcoin. The app is free, there’s nothing to buy and you get free cryptocurrency for joining this early to boot. If you’re asked who invited you “nomentanus” did.

Please help replace Bitcoin and other proof-of-work, eco-vicious cryptocurrencies. With both a selfish and unselfish reason to do so, whyever not. Sometimes what’s in your interest is in the planet’s interest too. In this case some Stanford researchers created Pi Network to hit just that sweet spot, and I think they have.

And if Pi Network doesn’t do the job, please join the next green effort to knock Bitcoin off its perch. Start here, to download the Pi Network app to your phone:
